Thai Massage
Neuromuscular Therapy is a program of recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes, utilizing specific massage therapy, including the pressure of trigger points, to eliminate the causes of pain patterns. This approach brings about balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. It enhances the function of joints, muscles, and movement, while also releasing endorphins, the body's own natural pain killers.
Deep Tissue Massage is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. This type of massage focuses on the muscles located below the surface of the top muscles. Deep Tissue Massage is applied to both the superficial and deep layers of muscles, fascia, and other structures.
Thai Massage is an interactive manipulation of the body using passive stretching and gentle pressure along energy lines. Practitioners apply pressure along meridian lines with their thumbs, hands, and feet to stimulate the movement of energy in the body, and in addition, move and stretch their clients in Yoga-like poses to free muscular and joint tension. Designed to be both relaxing and stimulating, Thai Massage improves flexibility, reduces tension, stimulates internal organs, and balances the body's energy system.

Pre-Event, Post-Event and Maintenance Massage are essential to staying injury free and at peak performance during any physical activity. Pre-Event is done relatively close to your event and helps warm up and loosen the muscles to prepare them for strenuous exercise. Post-Event is done after your event and helps alleviate cramps and removes lactic acid buildup, which causes the soreness afterwards. Maintenance Massage is done in between events and helps increase your range of motion and removes adhesions.
When the myofascia is stressed from overuse or trauma, it can tear and adhere together.
These adhesions are called "trigger points" and can prevent the muscles from working well. Trigger points lead to an increase in muscle stiffness, tenderness, and a decrease in range-of-motion. In addition, the discomfort from trigger points can radiate from the adhesion. This is called referral pain. With static pressure and knowledge of common areas where tension collects, these adheasions are released.
Swedish Massage is now known as "traditional" massage. It includes long gliding strokes, kneading, friction, tapping, and shaking motions. It is effective for most ailments, because massaging the skin, the body's largest organ, sets up a chain reaction that produces a positive effect on all layers and systems of the body. It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, circulation, and promotes health and wellbeing.
